Director of Marketing

Based in the New York office, the Marketing Director is responsible for developing and implementing new marketing strategy and programs to drive market visibility and revenue growth. This individual is instrumental in the strategy, planning, execution, and evaluation of traditional, Web, and electronic marketing programs. The position will work a diverse set of groups across Knoa, including product management and sales.

The ideal candidate will will have hands-on experience of building marketing programs for technology companies that focus in enterprise software space. The candidate should have demonstrated an ability to develop the communication plans for different product strategies, build lead generation for specific product initiatives, and should be able to manage an array of internal/external marketing resources. This professional will be resourceful, high-energy, positive, creative, and driven to obtain measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing communication plans and deliverables to enable customers, partners, industry analysts, and employees to understand the value of Knoa solutions
    • Marketing deliverables include, but are not limited to, customer case studies, product and solution data sheets, customer success stories, newsletters, whitepapers, website content presentations, videos, webinars and other communications materials
    • Each of these deliverable needs to be effectively oriented towards the different target audience identified above
  • Manage Knoa's interactive and digital marketing programs including responsibility for Knoa's corporate website, PPC advertising strategy and social media presence
  • Develop communication tools to help customers and channel partners improve prospecting results and close ratios as well as shorten sales cycles
    • Sales tools may be developed by product management, the client partner or sales engineering team
    • The marketing Director will work closely with these teams to create effective communication mechanisms for these tools. These will include, but are not limited to, sales guides, ROI guides, solutions demonstrations, and competitive positioning profiles
  • Lead the effort to provide Knoa and partner sales teams with high-quality sales leads
    • Design, develop and implement innovative demand generation strategies to create an effective lead generation program
    • Manage Knoa's demand generation marketing infrastructure including, but not limited to the company's Sales Force Automation (SFA) and Marketing Automation systems and other related systems
  • Manage relationship with Knoa's PR agency and take a key role in driving exposure with effective public relations activities
  • Actively monitor, measure and report on the effectiveness of Knoa's marketing campaign. Provide Knoa's executive team with recommendations to improve Knoa's overall marketing position

Requirements

The ideal candidate should meet the majority of the requirements listed below. Preference will be given to the candidates who have recent marketing experience with high-tech companies that focus in the enterprise software space.

  • Be an accomplished marketing director with at least 10 years of marketing experience in high-tech companies managing a variety of marketing functions/disciplines
  • Has the capability to think strategically to help define corporate direction but also has the desire and track record of being hands-on in terms of program execution
  • Possess strong operational skills to drive quantifiable results
  • Understands and embraces working in a small company with limited but high-quality resources
  • Has worked in the past 3-5 years in the enterprise software industry
  • Is technically savvy with the track record of articulating the value proposition for technologically complex solutions
  • Has hands-on experience leveraging CRM, marketing automation, and web content management solutions
  • Has the ability to work well with external marketing firms and vendors
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal, communication, decision-making, organizational, and time management skills
