Business Consultant

The Business Consultant will have in-depth, hands on involvement creating and delivering presentations to articulate the value proposition of Knoa products. This role will be viewed as a strategic partner to both the customer and other Knoa sales team members.

This Business Consultant position will manage numerous projects ranging from business development initiatives to implementation and application evaluations. You will work closely with the Sales team to complete the Value Engineering process from gathering requirements, preparing and conducting product demonstrations, writing proposals, and conducting sales workshops. This position is based out of our Minneapolis office and will report to the Director of Business Consulting.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with Knoa customers to conduct Value Engineering process
  • Owns, executes Value Engineering process
    • Information Phase (gather data by interviewing process owners and documenting)
    • Analysis Phase (analyze Knoa data captured in solution)
    • Document & Evaluate (document business cases based on data analysis and provide key recommendations)
    • Evaluation Phase (evaluate results of changes/effectiveness of analysis)
  • Provide pre-sales support to Knoa sales staff (overview of Knoa consulting services, training etc.)
  • Develop/document Knoa user case studies and results
  • Document other customer facing materials for the purpose of educating and consulting on Knoa products
  • Develops success criteria for Knoa pilot
  • Conduct console training
  • Enhances customer relationships by demonstrating understanding of customer value and the customer service attitude
  • Works with the Sales Team using a consultative approach to identify customer business needs and develop Knoa solutions to address those needs.
  • Demonstrates the ability to overcome normal technical barriers to sales.
  • Provides technical input and support to Sales Team when responding to large RFIs or RFPs.
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. The person in this role will spend significant amounts of time working hands-on with the system and closely with the salespeople, prospects and clients. Verbal and presentation skills are critically important.
  • Previous experience in business analysis and developing business cases
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles
  • Strong ability to map client's business and technology requirements to practical system capabilities.
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter with strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Previous experience with SAP, Siebel or ERP Application Support a plus
  • Previous experience in a pre sales role for ERP or similar software a plus
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Strong technical skills - even though this is a pre-sales position, the candidate must be very "tech savvy" and technically self-sufficient.
  • Understand the competitive offering landscape in the market and be able to show Knoa's unique value proposition.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment
  • Ability to communicate complex technology solutions and architecture discussions with customers, partners and internal senior staff
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems architecture and solution design a plus
  • Superior people skills: team-oriented, fast learner and very personable
  • Experience in the pre sales technical support of large Enterprise accounts and the ability to communicate at various levels of the organization i.e. CIO to individual technical contributor
