Knoa Survey Results Identify Key Trends Within Change Management and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Results offer insight into the top concerns of today's IT professionals

NEW YORK, October 23, 2012Knoa® Software, the leading provider of user experience and performance management software, today announced results of a survey conducted during its recent webinar entitled "The 2012 Annual Survey on Change Management – Risk Reduction and Best Practices." Knoa polled global information technology professionals across a broad range of functions about their overall satisfaction with Change Management and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) practices and other relevant information to the market.

The Knoa survey results revealed that over 25% of respondents had major concerns with new releases and the change management process. More than 35% of respondents were unsatisfied or extremely unsatisfied with the current state of the change management process. To combat this, users profile applications, conduct UAT and test extensively prior to deployment. About half of the respondents indicate that more than 60% of applications still experienced performance problems even after all of this extensive profiling, UAT and testing.

Despite current practices with UAT, slightly more than 40% of respondents still believed that the results of user acceptance testing were inconsistent with the actual performance during roll-out. Successful completion of UAT did not correlate to successful performance in a production environment. Knoa's proprietary data shows that prior to the use of Knoa Software, approximately 91.6% of all errors revolve around business process execution error.
